California Solar installer Sunvalley Solar has finished a 20.5-kilowatt array in Arcadia, California, a project which was commissioned as part of Sunvalley's Green Community Program in the Los Angeles area.
'Sunvalley ... helps clients decrease both their cost for electricity and their carbon footprint. This project represents an excellent start for our Green Community Program. We believe that making energy choices that are good for the environment goes hand-in-hand with improving the lives of those living in our communities,' said James Zhang, CEO of Sunvalley Solar, Inc.
The array employs 72 rack-mounted mono-crystalline silicon photovoltaic panels. It also features a data monitoring package which gives the general public the ability to see how much green energy is being generated and how much is being consumed.
The Green Community Program involves the construction of more than 500 kilowatts of generating capacity in Los Angeles-area solar installations. The project relies partially on incentives from both the local and federal government for investing in renewable power solutions.
