SunEdison and DRI Energy Enter Three-State Partnership
Friday, August 6th 2010 9:51 PM
By GetSolar Staff.
SunEdison and DRI Energy announced Thursday a new channel partnership which will see the two firms develop a variety of Arizona, California and Hawaii solar installations.

SunEdison will provide financing for DRI Energy's contracts with commercial, government and utility clients, and will retain ownership of the plants. DRI will handle the design, engineering and construction of the solar installations, while SunEdison will operate and maintain them. Together, the two firms will construct about 19 megawatts of solar power capacity.

"SunEdison is proud to name DRI Energy as one of our preferred channel partners," said Jaime Smith, vice president of North American Sales at SunEdison. "Together with DRI's outstanding solar integration experience and SunEdison's financing capabilities, we'll deploy solar faster and more cost effectively for our customers."

The new alliance builds on an existing partnership between the two companies, which have already built several California solar installations.

SunEdison, the largest solar energy services provider in the U.S., is a subsidiary of MEMC Electronic Materials (NYSE: MEMC), a semiconductor and solar wafer manufacturer, while DRI Energy is owned by DRI Companies. Worldwide, SunEdison has developed over 350 operational solar sites, providing more than 102 megawatts of clean, renewable energy.ADNFCR-3324-ID-19921743-ADNFCR
