Power+Energy, Inc., a Pennsylvania-based producer of hydrogen-purification systems, is presenting its products at this week's European PV Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition in Valencia, Spain.
Pure hydrogen is used in the production of solar modules, so P+E is a supplier to the solar industry. At PVSEC - which takes place from September 6 to September 9 - the company announced that it had signed a sales agreement with S3 Alliance to sell its purification systems in Europe.
S3, which has offices in Northern Ireland, Germany and Italy, will sell P+E's equipment in what P+E chief operating officer Noel Leeson called a 'very critical market.'
'The European market is very strategic for our business, and Power and Energy is looking forward to expanding its customer base,' Leeson said.
While China and the U.S. have made strides in installing solar capacity, Europe remains the world's largest market for solar equipment. Many solar companies - including German industrial giant Oerlikon Solar - are based in Europe, as well. Demand for P+E's purification equipment in Europe should be robust.
