Solar IPOs appear to be gaining a lot of momentum, particulary from Chinese companies, as investors rush to claim their stake in an industry poised for massive potential growth in the face of the climate change crisis.

Reactions to the hype, however, are mixed. Some see the investing as appropriate for an industry that could explode into mainstream worldwide adoption with the proper combination of factors.

Others are hesitant, worried about investing in an industry with an uncertain future, particularly in regards to which solar technology will wind up on top. Still others view these investments as bargains, possibly foreshadowing a continued boom for IPOs as the hype only grows.
