Matt Jennison – Founder & CEO
After a career in the airline industry as a Captain for Southwest Airline, and a contract negotiator for the Southwest Airlines Pilots Association, Matt shifted gears in 2007 to pursue a long-held goal to help solve the energy problem. The result is GetSolar.com, an online clean energy marketplace for solar and renewable energy. GetSolar streamlines the adoption of solar power by providing educational resources, unbiased information, and by matching customers with many of the nation’s top solar energy installers and integrators. As CEO, Matt provides vision and strategic direction for the company. Matt holds a BA in Political Science from Skidmore College, and an MBA from the Sloan School of Management at MIT and has taken solar PV courses at the Solar Living Institute (SLI).
Margaret Collins – Senior Editor, Residential Solar Specialist
Margaret writes about issues and trends in small-scale solar, drawing on her experience helping homeowners across the nation realize the best solar solutions for their needs. She walks GetSolar customers through each step of the solar process, from optimal system siting to the components of cost. She co-manages content, blog, and quarterly newsletter production. Margaret graduated magna cum laude from Cornell University with a BA in English, and has completed a NABCEP-certified course of study with Solar Energy International. She has been with GetSolar since its launch in 2007.
Adam Sewall – Editor, Commercial Solar Specialist
Adam writes about renewable energy policy, related incentive programs, and the cost and financing of solar energy systems. He provides consultation on commercial solar projects, conducting cost analysis and identifying relevant solar incentive programs. He also helps manage GetSolar web development and internal processes. Adam holds a BA from Middlebury College, and a Masters Degree from the Fletcher School at Tufts University, where he studied climate policy, energy, and international trade and finance. He has taken solar PV coursework at Solar Energy International (SEI). Adam has been with GetSolar since its launch in 2007.
Connie Zheng – Staff Writer and Researcher
Connie reports on developments in international solar markets, with a particular focus on China and Europe. When she’s not writing, she spends her time at GetSolar on online marketing, doing everything from analyzing social media campaigns to Twittering. She has been with GetSolar since its launch in 2007, and is currently majoring in English (Nonfiction Writing) and Economics at Brown University. Connie is on track to graduate in 2010.
