Sometimes, it’s important to take a break from serious policy issues – which Margaret, Adam, Connie, and Matt tend to speak about a lot more intelligently than me – and reminder ourselves how cool solar can be. Especially on a Friday.
Over at Got2BeGreen, here’s a great post about solar-powered purses. Was the world anxiously anticipating their arrival? Probably not. But the bag charges your cell phone and your mp3s, looks stylish, and, to top it all off, is biodegradable. Possibly a great purchase for the green-conscious lady in your life?
GreenOptions has a post for a different demographic, discussing a great new solar shaver. What people are coming up with ways to power through solar is starting to get less and less predictable, but this seems like a fantastic use of the technology.
And, though this may be some years away, it appears a solar-powered taxi is in the pipeline. While you won’t be buying it and taking it home with you, your cab rides some years from now might be powered by the sun. Might not bring down your fare, though.
