Pennsylvania has had its solar rebate program in the works for quite some time now, rumors and gossip circulating about when it would actually go active. And today it became official, as noted in a press release from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection:
Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection acting Secretary John Hanger is proud to announce that the Commonwealth Financing Authority voted unanimously to issue $30 million in state bonds to support the Pennsylvania Sunshine Program that will help the commonwealth’s consumers and small businesses afford new solar-powered systems, protect our environment and create hundreds of new jobs throughout the state.
So start your engines, Pennsylvania solar installers. You’re gonna get real busy, real soon.
