The Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), an industry trade group, is taking a new approach to educate the SEIA LogoAmerican public about the benefits of solar energy.

Yesterday, the organization introduced a new campaign entitled “The Solar Generation USA Road Trip,” during which award-winning director Alan Blake took a 3-week trip from Cape Cod, Massachusetts to Los Angeles, California in order to film short online and broadcast segments from different parts of the country. The shorts showcase how America’s solar industry is saving property owners money on utility bills and putting everyday citizens back to work. In total, the campaign includes three “webisodes,” a four-minute film and a public service announcement.

SEIA President and CEO Rhone Resch explained why his organization decided to invest in the new campaign:

“Solar energy is working for America, creating good jobs and investment in all 50 states. Whether it is an installer, or a solar manufacturing line worker, or a family or business that has experienced the benefits of solar, the Solar Generation USA road trip captures just how far solar energy has come in the United States.”
Now that the trip is over, the short segments are ready for viewing at Solar Generation USA. They show how solar energy is working for homeowners, small business owners and large corporations from state to state. Browse through website, and you will also learn how install a solar energy system for your home or business and how to find a job in the growing solar industry. Check out webisode #1 below:
