On Tuesday, Gov. Quinn signed two bills into law that could infuse Illinois’ solar energy industry.
The bill, officially titled HB6202, would set annual targets meant to encourage companies to meet of six percent of the state’s renewable energy coming via solar power by 2015. That target is state law.
Illinois and Missouri electric utility Ameren is pursuing solar installations in both states, as well as offering solar rebates to its customers.
