The TGP allows cash grants to be used instead of tax credits for renewable energy projects. The MITC frees up tax credits to be used for renewable energy manufacturing investments.

SEIA is the loudest advocacy voice for the solar industry. The bill of rights was written in attempt to expand solar markets by removing barriers – from 2002-08, fossil fuels received $72 billion in federal subsidies while the solar industry received $2 billion – and strengthen the industry by educating the public on the benefits of solar.
