Ron Marks, Gary Daniels, Daniel Bates, and David Hosking bring together well over 50 years of combined business experience in the building trades and alternative energy industry. With specialties noted in solar thermal, radiant floor, passive solar design, as well as photovoltaic (solar generated electricity) production, computer-based Energy Management Systems, and water conservation.

Ron Marks and his company, Heartwood Builders Green, have integrated energy efficient systems and design into homes and businesses throughout the greater Metro Atlanta area for well over twenty years. Ron has a degree in passive solar design from Sonoma State University in Cotati, California. He has worked with highly regarded innovators such as Michael Luttrell in solar warm floor design and installation in Napa California. Ron’s training and experience is evident as a dealer and installer for DC Power Systems, Sharp Solar Panels, Apricus Solar Thermal Collectors, Viega Radiant Floor Systems, and Brae Water Systems.

Gary Daniels is a master electrician, and founder of Ace Electrical Services, Inc. (AES) – a Marietta, Georgia based firm since 1987. He founded Full Spectrum Construction in 2000, and holds an unrestricted Georgia General Contractors license. Not new to the energy industry, AES began installing Energy Management Systems shortly after its inception, and automated building and environmental controls quickly became one of AES’s specialties. From the outset, Gary’s vision and ethics for AES and Full Spectrum were founded on the principles of “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.”

Gary and Ron have worked together and been friends since the early 90’s.

Daniel Bates, is a highly accomplished business management professional with in-depth knowledge of business operations and overall management strategies. Daniel has over 20 years of experience owning and operating companies in Miami, New York and several European countries. He is committed to a high level of customer service that builds trust and leads to ongoing relationships.

David Hosking is a longtime resident of the Atlanta area and has worked as a commercial and residential eco-broker specializing in marketing and selling energy efficient systems and technologies for businesses and homes. David has worked closely with the innovators, dealers, distributers, and organizations in the burgeoning solar market in Georgia, staying current with the newest generations of solar and other energy-saving and environmentally-friendly technologies.

David sees tremendous interest and acceptance of renewable energy initiatives, with the goal of conserving resources and reducing corporate and individual carbon footprints. David notes that federal, state, and local incentives have made investment in renewable energy a “no-brainer” both as a cost saving measure and to lessen our dependence on inefficient and polluting traditional energy resources.

David obtained his Bachelors, Masters, and Specialist Degrees from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. He currently lives in Midtown with his wife and 2-year-old son.
