Shockoe Solar, LLC is a family owned business based in Ashland, Virginia. Bernie Stanley, the owner of Shockoe Solar, LLC has been in the construction business for over 10 years. Bernie has been certified as a Sharp Solar installer and has attended training offered by several vendors. Shockoe Solar differs from many of the other solar businesses located around the country because we are extremely comfortable with construction and technology. Many installers have never been on a roof or been a part of the framing of a roof.

The “SunEye” gadget is an advanced tool that utilizes a digital camera, fish-eye lens, computer, compass, and GPS to determine the exact amount of direct sunlight available at that particular spot on your roof, every day of the year. Without this tool, the amount of direct sunlight would be a rough estimate… at best.
