About Us
SunWork Renewable Energy Projects is a California nonprofit based in the South San Francisco Bay Area that works to spread solar power widely by putting up solar electricity systems on small-energy-footprint area homes with the help of trained volunteers.
SunWork's team teaches volunteers to help physically install solar systems, and works together with these volunteers to carry out installations for a lower cost. By accomplishing installations more economically, SunWork and the people who volunteer with it allow more people to afford these systems, spreading this cleaner, renewable alternative to the sources of energy that contribute to climate change.
SunWork handles all aspects of a solar system installation for the system purchaser, from site analysis and system design to permitting and rebate paperwork to installation, inspection, and continued support. SunWork is committed to creating a safe, energetic, enjoyable, and meaningful experience for its volunteers, and to achieving the highest standard of quality and convenience for the purchasers of its systems.
Our Services
SunWork is a complete, or "turnkey", system provider, like most traditional solar installers. This means that within the compass of delivering a solar electricity system, all of the following elements are provided:
• Consultation
• Comprehensive design and engineering
• Installation
• Incentive paperwork
• Continued maintenance and support
SunWork aims at a standard of quality and convenience for its customers in product and in service to match the best of traditional solar contractors. Each SunWork solar installation is protected by a complete ten-year warranty against system or component breakdown.
