Founded in 2005, Sunflower Solar is a collaborative bringing the fields of architecture, construction and energy performance together to deliver renewable energy services based on a holistic understanding of the built environment. Bolstered by over 10 years of involvement in the solar industry, our experience includes residential, commercial and institutional projects covering both solar thermal installations as well as grid-tied and stand alone photovoltaic systems.   Our portfolio includes Richmond’s first net-metered residential PV system as well as the design of the City’s first commercial installation. We have been trained and certified in PV systems design through Solar Energy International and are currently working toward NABCEP certification.   Based in Richmond’s Fan district, we currently concentrate our services within the Central Virginia Region. 

Solar Assessments, PV systems design, PV and thermal systems installation, general contracting, energy auditing and assessments.  Focused on Central Virginia, will travel to DC and Tidewater regions.
