About Us
Since 1950, West Central Telephone Association (WCTA) in Sebeka, Minnesota has been a pioneer by bringing telephone, Internet, and a variety of other high-quality products and services to an area over 600 square miles. Now WCTA is looking to the future with the creation of Zenergy—a provider of renewable energy products and services.
To meet a growing demand for renewable energy, WCTA launched Zenergy, which continues a tradition of dedicated service and innovation. Zenergy applies directly to WCTA's philosophy of always thinking of the next generation. In recognition of WCTA's outstanding effort to make a difference in reducing carbon emissions, U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar presented the telecommunications company the Carbon Buster Award of Excellence. The WCTA team was honored to be recognized as a leader in providing clean, renewable energy.
Our Services
Our “products” are more than solar panels, wind turbines, cabinets, or monitoring systems. We firmly believe that the first-hand research, testing and experience gained from generating our own renewable energy (to power our business) lends value and foresight to everything we do for our customers.
From beginning to end, the Zenergy process includes thorough analysis and consultation, much of it based on our primary research. All installations are overseen by a North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) certified installer.
This process includes:
- Site assessment of property and structures
- System design and configuration
- Energy production and cost/savings projections
- Installation options
- Future maintenance and monitoring
We specialize in:
- Solar Electric (PV) - Sunshine converted cleanly to electricity
- Solar Thermal - Sunshine collected to heat water
- Solar Air - Solar Panel Furnaces used to supplement heat
